ALARM MONITORING
Our alarm monitoring control panels are capable of sending signals to our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) so that in the event of an emergency the appropriate action can be taken, eg. call your key holders and/or the police or fire brigade.
The choice of alarm monitoring methods comes down to individual risk/insurance requirements and should be discussed with our surveyor to select the most suitable method.
2. DIGITAL COMMUNICATOR - Our intruder control panels have an inbuilt modem which we connect to your house phone line. When the alarm monitoring system activates it calls our Alarm Receiving Center (ARC) who then take the appropriate action. The modem uses line intercept technology so that an intruder cannot phone your property to engage the line and then break in. Digital communicators will not work though if your line is physically cut.
There are two choices of monitoring with a digital communicator:-
a. Smart Response - This provides 24 hour alarm monitoring but our ARC will only call keyholders, never the police.
b. Police Response - Full 24 hour monitoring with keyholder and police response.
3. REDCARE - For properties requiring a higher level of security the following options are available:-
a. Redcare Agile - This works similar to a digital communicator but has a second signal path using the O2 mobile phone network. If the phone line is cut or faulty the alarm can still call the ARC.
b. Redcare GSM - Commercial version of Redcare home with added security features.
c. Redcare Classic - The original Redcare and still used in properties that have no mobile network coverage. Redcare classic monitors the phone line so that the ARC know if it is cut or tampered with.
